Teaching, Mentorship, Outreach
Teaching experience
I had the opportunity to contribute to formal classroom learning in a variety of settings during my PhD at the University of Washington:
BIOEN215: Introduction to Bioengineering Problem Solving – Invited Lecturer (2016-2018)
Presented an hour-long lecture on the applications of polymers in drug delivery to underclassmen bioengineering majors at the University of Washington.Lead Instructor, Bioengineering Summer Camp – Seattle, WA (2015-2018)
Developed and presented an hour-long lecture on nanotechnology for drug delivery and an hour-long hands-on lab activity demonstrating principles of pH-sensitive release to high school seniors.
PHRMRA528: Medical Risk Analysis and Management – Teaching Assistant (2014-2016)
Designed and maintained the course website, graded assignments and presentations, and delivered a two-part lecture on ethical issues in the regulatory field.
